Palsangjeon - Hall of the Eight Murals

The "Palsang" is a series of eight murals showing the miraculous events in the life of the historic Buddha, Sakyamuni. There are several arrangements that occur in Korean temples. The most common is: 1) Descending from Tusita Heaven, 2) Preparing for Birth, 3) Birth, 4) Leaving Home, 5) Overcoming Mara, the Spirit of Evil, 6) Enlightenment, 7) Teaching the Dharma and 8) Entering Nirvana. There are other arrangements, but they are all very similar to this one. I am not sure which one is depicted at Pomosa.
